President Elect Obama – The Bottom Up Endrun Begins

leave a comment »

An article in the Russian News and Information Agency NOVOSTI quotes former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev as calling for “Perestroika” here in the US.

…the Obama administration in the United States needs far-reaching ‘perestroika’ reforms to overcome the financial crisis and restore balance in the world…

Similarly, the UK’s Prime Minister Gordon Brown:

The international financial crisis has given world leaders a unique opportunity to create a truly global society

In the 80’s and 90’s I often pondered what exact world events would come about to enable a true world order, and world government.  My college roommate laughed at me in 1989 when I suggested that eventually the USSR and the US would have to come together in one way or another (by cooperation or domination).  I told him that the reason this must happen is that the Bible clearly tells us there will be a one-world government and along with it, severe persecution of Christians who choose to live according to the Bible.

The unlikely rise of President elect Obama has been chilling for me because I see millions who are taken in and enthralled by him, yet who base this on very vague concepts such as “hope” and “change.”  There are few who can articulate a single thing they expect him to do, yet they happily vote for him because he is the first black man to rise to POTUS, and because he offers a supposedly different direction from George W Bush.

The WTO, FTAA and the EU are a few of the building blocks of one world government.  While it is hard to fathom in our generation, the formation of the European Union, the WTO, the United Nations and the FTAA signed by “conservative” George W Bush are beyond the grasp of the normal citizen, and move swiftly, but largely unnoticed.

The first time I heard Obama use the phrase “from the bottom up” the hairs on my neck stood up a bit, but I did not have a chance to really research my intuition.  Now that I have had some more time to digest his win, and the coming “change” his words begin to make more sense to me.

“The ‘house of world order will have to be built from the bottom up rather than from the top down. It will look like a great ‘booming, buzzing confusion,’ to use William James’ famous description of reality, but an end run around national sovereignty, eroding it piece by piece, will accomplish much more than the old-fashioned frontal assault.”  1974  –  Richard N. Gardner

Obama said very plainly in Dreams of My Father that he chose his friends carefully during his formative years, and so it should come as no surprise that his words reflect that unmistakeable aura from time to time:

“To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists and punk-rock performance poets. We smoked cigarettes and wore leather jackets. At night, in the dorms, we discussed neocolonialism, Franz Fanon, Eurocentrism, and patriarchy. When we ground out our cigarettes in the hallway carpet or set our setereos so loud that the walls began to shake, we were resisting bourgeois society’s stifling constraints. We weren’t indifferent or careless or insecure. We were alienated.”

The Bottom Up Endrun has indeed begun in earnest, but it has not begun today as a result of Barack Obama.  It began decades ago with discretely influential men such as Richard Gardner.  It was advanced step by step through world leaders like the Bushes and Clintons.  Obama’s unique role will now be to popularize this concept to the masses.  Masses that are being led by emotion and hope, but not by time-worn Biblical principals.

The Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA) the planned extension of NAFTA to all of South America is a prelude to World Government under the UN.

Does Obama/Ayers = Palin/Vogler?

leave a comment »

Desperately seeking….anything!

I’ve seen a couple of emails now circulated by the left desperately seeking something, anything, that might deflect some of the scrutiny finally being given to Obama regarding his interesting choice of friends, associates and mentors.  Obama/Ayers is finally, and appropriately being vetted by the fawning media, but now the liberals are touting their own gotcha! association from the backwoods of Alaska.  The AIP and deceased founder Joe Vogler.

So, when a friend of mine forwarded this piece from Salon.com I figured it would be good to do some compare and contrast.  Here are a few points that Salon and liberals might wish to consider as they caricaturize and stretch this story to fit their needs:

Obama/Ayers is all about people the presidential candidate was demonstrably close to.  No weak party affiliations or half-references needed here.  Obama spent considerable time and affiliation with Bill Ayers, and launched his political campaign from Ayers’ own home.  If this was apples to apples as the liberals are painting it, we would now turn to McCain/?  but as we know, John McCain was a little more prudent with his choices of affiliation and mentorship.  So, the liberals have to take a step downward and go for Sarah Palin.  But again, they don’t have anything really juicy on Sarah either (even after lefties hacked into and publicized her personal emails), so they have to settle for good old Todd Palin.  But then it trails off even further here because Todd was indeed a member of AIP, but it turns out that you can’t pal around well with a dead guy because Joe Vogler was …well, quite dead for some considerable time before Todd even got into the party.

Correction: September 5, 2008
An article on Tuesday about concerns over Senator John McCain’s background check of Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska, his choice of running mate, misstated the history of her political party affiliation. As The Times has since reported, she has been a registered Republican since 1982; she was not for a couple of years in the 1990s a member of the Alaskan Independence Party, which advocates a vote on whether her state should secede.

The truth is that Palin/Vogler does not even exist.  Never did – fiction of the most concocted kind.  No campaigns launched from his home, no fawning memoirs, no co-chairmanships – just wishful thinking on the part of liberals everywhere.  The AP attempted to place Sarah Palin inside the AIP earlier this year, and got mud on their face when they were forced to retract their erroneous claim.  It is interesting to note that the left paints Sarah as palling around with Vogler when he was both dead and absent from the party for 2 years before Todd even became part of the party.  Numerous lefty blogs who were reluctant to call Ayers anything but a “revolutionary” are now happy as larks to proclaim Vogler to be a genuine bonafide terrorist.  Interesting here how Vogler’s mere words (granted, he’s a bit “out there” folks!) cause him to become a terrorist, and Bill Ayers’ explosives and destruction fade to ..what was that Tom Brokaw called it??  ah yes.. “school reformer”

The issue Obama has and will always carry is that his own connections with Rezko, Wright and Ayers are all well-documented, close associations and exchanges.  Obama did not vet them or avoid them – why?  His involvement in Annenberg alone would have fried McCain or any other Republican if he had been involved in such a ridiculous and fruitless waste of money.  As I mentioned before, Oprah Winfrey appears to be much more presidential than Barack Obama in many ways because she at least figured out what Jeremiah Wright was all about and “made the change.”  So too, Todd Palin appears to have put things together and gotten the hint that the AIP was maybe a bit too “fringe-like.”

Criticize Todd Palin for being a member of AIP if you like.  They certainly seem to have some “issues” brewing there, but other than being a fringe political group advocating secession, they do not appear to be anything close to a terrorist organization.  However, if you would like to see what the mind of a true terrorist looks like, just do a bit of research on Mr Bill Ayers, and be sure to have a look at what he said then, and what he says now.

Have You Noticed? Now it is Obama v Palin

leave a comment »

How very clever.  Almost ..Rovian.  Have you noticed recently that the presidential debate has shifted almost imperceptibly from Obama v McCain to Obama v Palin?  If Obama is not very careful, he will suddenly find that he has lost this election to a Hockey Mom, and not to John McCain.  While liberals foam at the mouth about urine-bearing protesters  being man-handled in Minneapolis, Governor Palin has swiftly stolen the lime light from Obama’s stadium extravaganza.

In just a few short days I am beginning to note some excellent mental quickness and wit coming from Governor Palin – qualities that have always been severely lacking from Biden’s podium.  The Weekly Standard provided a quick, behind the scenes exchange.  This from Bill Kristol:

McCain aides whose judgment I trust are impressed by Sarah Palin. One was particularly amused by this exchange: A nervous young McCain staffer took it upon himself to explain to Palin the facts of life in a national campaign, the intense scrutiny she’d be under from the media, the viciousness of the assault that she’d be facing, etc.:

Palin: “Thanks for the warning. By the way, do you know what they say the difference is between a hockey mom and a Pit Bull?”

McCain aide: “No, Governor.”

Palin: “A hockey mom wears lipstick.”

This is a sharp woman, and the Dems had best be careful that they do not underestimate her.  Joe Biden is possibly one of a handful of people who are able to make Dan Quayle seem like an eloquent speaker.  I anxiously await the exchanges between he and she.

The debate today should clearly be featuring Barack Obama and John McCain, but the Hockey Mom from Alaska is now finally showing the spotlight upon the empty vacuum that is Obama’s portfolio.  Obama’s campaign is feverishly working to squelch any perception that he and Palin are equals, or even close.  MSM is dutifully following suit.  If team McCain can continue to capitalize on this fun new paradigm, well, they may just have a fighting chance where one just did not exist before.

Shine that light, Sarah Palin.
