From Traitor to Hero? Responding to “The Gospel of Judas”

Some great writers are speaking out and putting things into context – that’s good stuff. This is a good read, and Hugh Hewitt points to at least a couple of others.

Whenever I see new revelations about the Bible, politics or hair styles I always have to sit back and wait a bit for cooler heads to prevail, and the same can be said for the latest “revelation” about the relationship between Judas and Jesus. It’s worthy to note here that “revelations” and bombshells have been reported since man learned to communicate. Still, after all of these so-called revelations – there stands the Bible. Long after the cruelest emperor passes to dust, the last Marxist shakes his fist in self-righteous indignation, and the pages of Dan Brown’s novel yellow and recede to the archives of the library – there will be God’s Word.
