The Very Best Of The Unhinged

I am seeing some really bizarre media activity on Cheney’s hunting debacle, but this one gets the buffoon award for the week – hands down. It is unbelievable to me that this guy can even mention Chappaquiddick and draw a paycheck for doing so. Never mind the fact that Cheney was accompanied by several witnesses, and the victim was immediately cared for by the best and brightest in the medical profession. Now contrast with Ted Kennedy’s unfortunate companion who never had any of those things going for her, and fortunately for Teddy – no witnesses.

What media is forgetting here is that all of the proper authorities were immediately informed in this case, and the decision as to how to communicate the event is quite simply, Cheney’s to make. Think of what the media’s reaction would have been if they had released this information late that same evening….shudder. Ignatius would no doubt be hastily scribbling that Cheney was being hunted by Texas authorities and that poor Whittington was knocking at death’s door. What a media trainwreck that would have been.

David Ignatius – Arrogance of Power indeed, try a bit of practicing what you preach, thou arrogant MSM dinosaur.
