Gingrich: Do Right And Trust Americans To Choose Wisely

Some very strong, and I believe, wise words coming from Newt Gingrich this week. He’s absolutely right, and his courage to call out powerful members of his own party is to be commended. For the Great American Public (GAP) to view the government as an ethical and fair entity, is nothing short of “Holy Grail-esque”. It will take leaders of character who are not willing to allow themselves to even appear slightly tainted by shady influences.

Even if DeLay comes out of his trials completely unscathed, his future challenge will be to stay completely segregated and sequestered from those inviting, questionnable gray areas he has brushed against in the past. As far as the average American is concerned, pushing the money-raising envelope automatically equals some level of pushing the law. It is a juicy setup for low fruit pickers such as Pelosi, Reid and prosecutors like Earl. Why make it so easy???
