And the Gods of the Copybook Headings limped up to explain it once more.

Spurlock and the Giant Ball of Hair

leave a comment » – Views – Straight Talk – Spurlock Food Scare a Super Size Scam

This article by Radley Balko is one of the few I have seen going into any detail at all regarding Morgan Spurlock’s ambitious campaign against the fast food industry. I couldn’t help but substitute Michael Moore’s name as I read this because it’s a perfect copy of Moore’s M.O. Instead of pulling together good, salient facts and discussion, Spurlock creates a stir by sensationalizing and distorting the context because, like his arch (no pun intended) nemesis, McDonalds, it’s all about the marketing and the hype, and little to do with calories and nutrition.

Balko’s information regarding Spurlock’s former role at MTV also makes it clear that we’re really dealing with an exhibitionist who loves to hear himself talk, and who exploits the obvious to get a rise out of the masses. This reader is left wondering whether, if one were to eat large balls of hair and butter for 30 days, they would perhaps get better skin tone?
