And the Gods of the Copybook Headings limped up to explain it once more.

Hit ’em Fast, Hit’em Hard – (and stay away from ground combat.)

Credit to Hugh Hewitt for pointing out this sharp article at CNS

To me, Iran and North Korea have always seemed like more likely targets than Iraq. But, now that we are heavily engaged in Iraq, no matter what we do in Iran and Korea will be perceived as so much war-mongering by libs. Still, as Hewitt suggests, the options continue to boil down to “ignore, negotiate, or go to war.” If a strike does occur, it is very likely that Lil’ Kim in Korea will jump to some pretty alarmed conclusions. What he does with those conclusions is anyone’s guess, but turning So Korea into a glass parking lot seems a distinct possibility.

One comforting thing to this writer is that if Kerry were making this decision, he would probably just ship more heavy fuel oil along with an un-enforceable agreemnent to Iran to placate them until they produced a really big weapon stockpile, then wait for the next Republican administration to come on board to clean it all up and take the hit.
