The Day After The Coldest Summer On Record

leave a comment »

Ok – So I understand that this is not the coldest summer on record, but according to people that know, summer 2004 turned out to be one of the coolest on record. So what does this prove? Absolutely nothing…except to say that while Global Warming is certainly something to consider and even to study, it is still a phenomenon that is no more predictable today than it was back in 2000 when Gore and virtually every other liberal were screaming bloody murder over silly computer models predicting the doomsday apocalypse if a Republican were to take over the whitehouse.

Scientists are no closer to confirming that SUV’s are responsible for global warming today than they were ten years ago, but Al Gore will still pop his carotid artery as he tries to convince his crowd that the collapse of the Kyoto Treaty spells disaster ala The Day After Tomorrow.

I do firmly believe that the weather patterns on this planet will be doing some crazy things, (possibly during our lifetimes) that will leave us in utter awe. However, I attribute these changes to prophecy predicted in the Bible rather than the fleet of SUVs that John Kerry doesn’t know he owns. Revelations 6:12 and 8:8 are extremely blunt on some of the things we will witness when this takes affect.

Don’t get me wrong here – I am sure that our own actions here on earth can affect things and can cause our environment to change, maybe even drastically. There may be some truth to the global warming scare in connection to our burning of fossil fuels and cousin Jenny’s hair spray, but no conclusive science has determined this in my honest opinion.

The world has gone through massive changes and unbelievable formation and weather cycles for thousands and thousands of years. I have every reason, based on my own education in physical sciences that our earth will see more massive change and incredible weather cycles. Do I think something as insignificant as the Kyoto Protocol will even put a dent in this natural progression? Not a chance. The overwhelming votes of Democrats against this protocol should start to raise a few flags.

There’s a special page in the “Controversial Stuff!” section of Selected Pete dedicated to Global Warming. Check it out, and then tell me what you think. I am sure there will be new evidence both for and against the connection between Global Warming and our Detroit way of life, so check back on this page from time to time.
