Haha…though I’m sure that Neoglyphea isn’t the only organism that has been well-adapted enough to its niche that it hasn’t change much over the millennia. Perhaps it was afraid of violating the new Kansas law!

I know you’re being facetious, but cetaceans’ blow holes and flippers are of course derived from their noses and their forelimbs.

Gw seems unlikely to me. So far, no speculation or estimate has been correct. The Antarctic ic eis getting thicker generally except along the Ross ice shelf. GW is not rationally presented. Unlike Evolution which is verifiable, GW must be taken on faith. My guess is that there is no climax community and that the Earth is never static. Do you think perhaps it is in the nature of humanity to believe we can affect an entire planet for good or ill, and to place belief ahead of rational inquiry? The planet will be here long after mankind has gone to its destiny, and the planet will be fine.

I used to believe that too. Over time I have shifted from belief to empiricism. I see the humanity of both sides, and I notice that this is an issue beyond reason, and full of equivocation, usually.

I wondered why in heavens name the PA declined the Barak peace offer. Then I got hold of a map that showed the proposed boundary. Did you know that the West Bank would have been permanently cut up into four separate chunks? How could they agree to that?

Having no ethnic or religious affiliation with the two parties, I don't buy into the myths. Having an interest in History, Politics, Geography, and Military History I could suggest a resolution and some operative principals.
